Collection Development Policy

This living document was compiled by the Massasoit Library staff to capture the major ideas that guided the decision making processes across disciplines.

General Guideline

The Collection Development policy will be reviewed in its entirety by the Director of  Libraries and the Faculty Librarians every five years, accounting for changes in community needs, professional trends, and budget considerations.

The guidelines for Special Collections and specific curricular areas are reviewed annually by each division liaison in order to reflect and respond to curricular changes and evolving program needs.
