Module Activity: Tool
This module contains an assignment scheduler (see below), which allows students to input the current date and the date the assignment is due. The scheduler then calculates when they will need to have certain steps done. This can help the professor and the students visualize the things that need to happen and the potential time it will all take.
Accountability: Optional discussion board that allows students to help each other refine and think through their topics.
Goal: Students will understand the nature of college research.
Module Activity: Video (2:37)
The video highlights the fact that research is iterative, and not a linear process. There is a difference between searching for an answer to something and researching possible answers to that same question.
Accountability: Quiz (5 questions, including one open ended)
Select the Start Date (when you plan to begin your research paper) and the End Date (when the assignment is due).
