Computer Literacy: MyMassasoit Portal

This guide supports Massasoit students with limited practical computer experience,

MyMassasoit Portal

Quicklink access to the most critical
student success functions including:

 

  • Massasoit Gmail account
     
  • Canvas access
     
  • Navigate360 Student system

 

 

Massasoit Gmail 
 

  • Check messages in Inbox EVERY DAY!
     
  • Class communications from professors
    & fellow students
     
  • Registrar, Academic Services & Financial Aid
    communications

 

 

 

 

 

Writing & Sending Emails:

  • To:  Type the email address where you
    want to send your message
     
  • Subject:  Short description of the email
    contents - like a Title
     
  • Send button:  Hit this button when
    email is complete 
     
  • Taskbar:  Change email appearance, insert links,
    attach documents, etc.

 

 

 

Canvas Course- access assignments, textbook information, tests/quizzes, grades, and the class Zoom link.

  • Open Canvas from the MyMassasoit Portal
  • Go to the "Dashboard"
  • View the list of courses you are enrolled in
  • Click or tap on the tile of the course you want to access

Canvas Course Home

  • Home is the first page you see in your Canvas course. It is whatever page the professor has chosen. 
  • From there, you can navigate to announcements, modules, or assignments.

 

 

Canvas Course Modules

  • Modules are how the course is organized.
  • Sometimes the modules will be labeled by week, or by the date
  • The materials and assignments you need to class during the upcoming week are in the upcoming module.

 

 

Use Navigate 360 to schedule appointments with:
 

  • Tutoring (Academic Resource Center ARC)
     
  • Advising (Advising, Career & Transfer Services ACT)
     
  • Student IDs (Student Life)
     

Schedule an Appointment:

  • Click Appointments from left menu
  • Click the button to the far right of screen
  • Choose your preferred service, date & time to meet through the drop down menus
  • Click the Find Available Times button 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • On the new screen,  use the filters to:
    • Select the date for service
    • Filter by location, staff name or course
       
  • Click on your preferred location link to the right of the filters

 

 


 

 

  • On the new screen,  click on a time slot for your service appointment

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • On the new screen, check all of your information is correct
  • Click Schedule button at bottom of form

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • The final screen shows your upcoming appointments
