Plagiarism: Avoiding Plagiarism

Many professors require students to upload their papers to this site for plagiarism checks prior to submittal.

Students can use Turnitin Draft Coach to to precheck their papers.

You can find access to the Turnitin Draft Coach through the Online Resources page in the MyMassasoit portal:

• Manage your time well - cutting corners often leads to accidental plagiarism
• Write out & brainstorm your own ideas before looking at other sources - ensures your ideas are your own and not someone else’s
• Take notes in class or when reading - note page numbers and author(s) in case you need that information later for a paper
