Talk Saves Lives
Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalition
Talk Saves Lives provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what they can do in their communities to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe. All employees are welcome to this session.
Paul Gabriele is the original founder of the Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalition and now serves as a trained Facilitator for American Foundation for Suicide and Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Paul has worked in the mental health and suicide prevention field for many years. He has traveled overseas training over 1500 SIO’s (Suicide Intervention Officers) for the Army National Guard as well as many other military personnel.
He has also done work on Cape Cod with the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition as a Facilitator for the Nurturing Fathers Program as well as facilitator for other various evidence based best practice programs dealing with youth mental health, depression, suicide prevention, risk factors, and coping skills.
Paul is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor in Youth, Adult, Older Adults, First Responders and Military. Also serves as a trainer for QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer), Talk Saves Lives and is a certified Peer Support Specialist trained by the Samaritans lastly, certified in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). Paul is also a loss survivor.
Jennie currently serves as Co-Chair for the Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalition and holds a seat on the Executive Committee for the Mass. State Coalition for Suicide Prevention. She has been part of the Plymouth County Coalition since its inception back in June 2014.
Jennie is also a board member for Veterans Voice Network which airs on radio station, WATD 95.9FM, providing resources and information to our Veteran’s and families. Jennie is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor in Youth, Adult, Older Adults, First Responders and Military.
