CEED Enrichment Opportunities: Information

Book Groups at Massasoit

CEED Reading Group

This new college-wide reading group is open to all staff and faculty. The group will meet monthly to discuss books and articles on a variety of topics suggested by group members. Librarian Maria Andrade and Professor Drew Dunphy will organize meetings, but group members will decide what and how much to read for each meeting, and facilitation will rotate among group members. We hope to provide a social and engaging space for colleagues to connect and talk about good books and articles!

Teaching and Learning Collaborative (formerly the Faculty Book Group)

This group is open to anyone at Massasoit interested in discussing research about teaching, sharing strategies with colleagues, and reflecting on their practice. Meetings are on Tuesdays afternoons from 3:30-4:30.  Our work includes discussions about pedagogy, reading specific materials, and possibly peer classroom visits or other ways of sharing practice. Professors Alex Cotter, Rita Jones-Hyde and Drew Dunphy will co-facilitate group meetings. Space is limited, and funding is available to purchase books for participants.

If you are interested in joining the Fall 2022 Teaching and Learning Collaborative, email Drew Dunphy or fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/poBads6sfjA59a6J9
