This app can be used to read eBooks and articles from Gale.
You have access to over 200 eBooks from the Gale Virtual Reference Library, including Novels for Students, Short Stories for Students, and the American Decades Primary Sources.
You can also search the Gale databases, such as Academic OneFile, Opposing Viewpoints in Context, Literature Criticism Online and History in Context.
With this app you can:
Note: To save an article, do not use the Save options in the Tools along the right. Instead, use the small download icon below the article. That will save it to the "My Articles" area in the app.
Download the AML app from Google Play or iTunes
AML will show you all of the libraries in the area.
If you are nearby, click on Academic and select Massasoit Community College from the list. If you do not see it in the list because you are far away, you can search using the magnifying glass symbol in the upper right corner.
When prompted for a password, enter the first five digits of your barcode
After submitting the password, your app should look something like this:
Within the AML app, select the eBooks icon at the bottom of the screen. You will see an alphabetic list of the available eBooks.
If you select one, you are brought to the Table of Contents and may start reading. Click the red X on the left to get out of the eBook.
Within a chapter, you may save it by clicking on the blue upload symbol at the bottom of the screen. You may save chapters, but you are not able to save an entire book. Do note choose the Save option on the right. That will only save the article to a temporary folder.
When saved, you will find the chapter in your "My Articles" area of the AML app. You will see that when you X out of the eBook.
Click on "My Articles" to see the chapters and articles you have saved:
