Welcome back to Fall 2022!

I created two Canvas assets available on Canvas Commons for integration into your course this year:

1.  About Scholarly Articles and How to Find & Read Them, a robust module, which includes the following components:

  • Emphasizes importance of  Scholarship as Conversation frame of mind through multimedia
  • Discusses basic types of scholarly articles with linked examples from science journals
  • Provides strategies for article reading & comprehension
  • Shows navigation of scholarly conversation via Google Scholar - forward & backward citations trails
  • Quiz to check comprehension.

2.  Discussion Post:  Google Scholar Navigation & the Scholarly Conversation from Research for Life Course:

  • Abbreviated version of Scholarly Article module
  • Highlights VetTech's  Paul Chamberlain's Nature Nanotechnology article as entry point into scholarly conversation

I hope you find this supplementary content helpful to support student learning.  If you would prefer a customized module,  please feel free to reach out any time during the semester!
