To read an Ebsco eBook on your computer, you do not need to install anything or check them out. The catalog will bring you to the eBook after choosing "Massasoit - Students, faculty and staff click here to access book."
Choose either PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text. Avoid the Download option unless you want to go through the process of installing Adobe Digital Editions.
To search for an eBook, you can use the Discovery Search on our library home page. You can also use the HELM catalog. Enter a title, author or keyword into the search bar and click Go. Once you've done your search, choose eBook as the Item Type along the left.
These databases all contain eBooks. Which one should you use? It depends on what you are looking for! If you are looking for academic non-fiction, use the EBSCO eBook Collection. If you are looking for fiction, try your public library's OverDrive collection. If you are unsure, use the catalog search bar.
