Erin McCoy             I'm Erin McCoy, your liaison librarian!

The library has adjusted responsibilities, and I'm excited to introduce myself to this division as your liaison librarian. As your liaison librarian, I:

  • Maintain the library collection for you and your students, including print books, ebooks, and databases
  • Construct research guides to support your students' academic needs
  • Collaborate with you on the creation of research assignments and the critical thinking goals for your students within your disciplines
  • Assist in faculty and program development to smoothly integrate library resources, information literacy concepts, and research materials into the curriculum

This guide is designed to help you easily find me and any new resources for your department. I will update the blog on a regular basis, which you can subscribe to so you get the updates automatically.

Feel free to reach out with any questions about library resources, information literacy, the research and writing modules in Canvas, or the new books purchased for the division. I'm thrilled to start the semester in a continued open capacity to accommodate the research and study needs of our students and I'm available to you as well for in-person or online appointments. I also have one and a half days up at the Canton library this semester, so you can find me anywhere! I look forward to working with you another school year.

Please look at the course guides for your department, which are listed on each department's page or as you peek into your Canvas courses; the appropriate guide should be seen from the Library Resources header in the course navigation. If you would like a more specific guide for your course, I am happy to make one. You can make an appointment or send me an email

I hope the start of the year goes smoothly and I look forward to "seeing" all of you.
