Student Use of Library Computers

by Erin McCoy on 2020-03-21T09:56:00-04:00 in General Information | Comments

Computers and Computer Use:

The 12 available library computers have been designated as a “computer lab.” Students interested in using the computer lab are required to reserve a space by submitting a Computer Lab Workspace Reservation Form.

  • This form must be submitted within one day of intended use.
  • Computers will be available for one hour at a time and a maximum of three hours per day.

A computer lab assistant will be stationed at the research help desk. This person will:

  • Schedule and monitor computer use,
  • Enforce time limits on computer use,
  • Answer general log in questions

Students needing extensive access to computers are encouraged to apply for the Laptop Loan Program to borrow a laptop through the end of the semester.

Walk In Use

There are four computers available for walk-in use. Users must check in with the computer lab assistant before use of these computers. :

  • Two “public computers” outside the library classroom
  • Scanner station
  • A computer near the reference desk and print release station
