Course Reserves

As part of the Library's ongoing commitment to support faculty during this time, we are offering assistance with course reserves.

  1. For FY2022, we will try to purchase the electronic version of the textbook for your class.
  2. If purchase is not possible, we are able to scan segments of the reserve resource and make that available for your students.
Note: This assumes that the book is already on reserve in the library, or will be provided by the faculty for scanning.

undefined  Interested? Click the button to fill out the request form!

The types of items most frequently placed on reserve are:

  • Books
  • DVDs

 Checkout period:

  • 2 hours
  • Item stays in library*

  Removing items from reserve:

  • Items can be removed from Reserve temporarily or permanently by their owners at any time.
  • Items that have not been checked out in two years will be removed from the Reserve shelf.

NOTE: Workbooks and other consumables (items intended for one-time use) cannot be placed on reserve.

*Instructors can make items available for use outside the Library; however, fewer students are able to access them and it is harder to keep track of the items.

Interlibrary Loan

Looking for a specific book or article and cannot find it in our catalog or databases?

Fill out the form below and if we can locate it at another library, we will have it sent to Massasoit for pick up. You will be notified when we receive the item(s). Articles are usually sent directly to your email address.

Unfortunately, textbooks cannot be obtained through ILL. To request materials, you must have a library card and be in good standing (no fines or overdue items).
